45% Tests & Quizzes

includes Tests given at the end of a unit of study.  Quizzes will be given announced and unannounced periodically throughout the unit to check on your progress and understanding of the material. 

40% Labs, Projects, & Journals

includes work done in the class as well as some to be completed at home.  Interactive science journals will be kept throughout the year and contain reflection assignments that will be checked regularly.

15% Accountability

includes preparedness for class, journal & binder checks, and homework when graded for effort only. 

Homework:

o Assigned about 3X per week

o full credit if completed and done well

o no credit given if not complete or not turned in day it is   due

o PowerSchool score starts at 100 pts., each missing HW is

           -5pts from that score
